“And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn” (Luke 2:7).
It occurred to me that in a moment, Jesus entered the world and took his first breath. The God who breathed life into Adam took a breath. Later, in his life we read, “And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit'” (John 20:22). Today, as we celebrate his birth, let’s thank God that the one who took his first breath as an infant, now gives us his breath through the Holy Spirit.
