Jesus said, “My words are both Spirit and life” (John 6:63).

He didn’t say my words point to Spirit and life.

Nor did he say, my words teach about Spirit and life.

Jesus said, “My words are Spirit and life.”

Profound statement.

Profound thought.

Here’s how I see it. The words of Jesus express the mind of God . . . they are a visible expression of the invisible God. When I hide his visible word in my heart, it becomes invisible again. Once within my heart, the now invisible words of Jesus are Spirit and life.
